My time in Cameroon has sadly come to an end. Though I am very happy to be home and with my family in the U.S. I already miss Cameroon.

I really enjoyed going to a country like Cameroon. I learned so much from the people there. It really is very different than the U.S. If traveling is something that you think you would like to do in your future, there are a few things that you should do.

First, you should start learning another language. Then you should plan ahead. Traveling overseas can be expensive, so you will want to start saving money as soon as you can.

When I was in high school I had a part time job so that I could save money to travel abroad. Finally, you will want to read about the place or places where you would like to go. You can find information on the Internet or in books. Talk to other people who have traveled to the place you are interested in visiting. Ask lots of questions!

The experience of living with and learning from another family in another country is really a great experience and I recommend it to you. Thank you for ready about my journey and good luck with your travels in the future!

I received a Gilman International Scholarship to study in Cameroon. The Gilman International Scholarship Program helps students like me to study abroad and achieve our goals and dreams of learning in another country. I submitted an application and received a lot of money to pay for the cost of flying, living, and going to school in Cameroon. Also, through the Gilman Scholarship I am able to talk to you and for you to follow my journey with Reach the World.
