Hello, my name is Chris Thompson. I grew up in southern Delaware. Delaware is a small state right next to Maryland and Pennsylvania. Growing up, I lived in a house in the middle of the woods. Our neighbors were farmers, so there weren't a lot of kids near me.

I spent most of my time playing in the woods, reading, and building things. I loved to explore, build tree forts, and read books.

Some of my favorite books were, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", "Treasure Island", and "The Chronicles of Narnia".

When I graduated from high school, I decided that I wanted to learn about electricity. I went to school to the University of Delaware to study electrical engineering.

While I was in school, I learned that you can make electricity from sunlight! This is called "solar energy". Photo-voltaic devices are things that turn solar energy into electricity. I thought they were so interesting that I went to school for two more years to learn about them.
