How was the weather this week? The weather has been great this week. Before we got here, I thought Cairo would be really, really hot. I was wrong! It has been pleasantly sunny every day. Of course, there are many parts of Egypt where it's really hot right now. Fortunately, Cairo is not one of them.

What animals did we see this week? This week we've seen horses pulling carriages, donkeys pulling carts at the market, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, birds, cats, and dogs. Most of the animals we saw this week were at the market.

The animals we saw at the market were there to perform work, to be sold, or to be eaten! The dogs and cats weren't there for those reasons, though. They're just at the market to look for food scraps.
