Hi everybody, I am writing from Luxor, Egypt. It is in the desert. It is really hot here.

Why am I in the desert? There are some really cool tombs and temples here. Do you remeber Mitch's trip to the pyramids? The pyramids are tombs, too. The tombs in Luxor are different. The tombs here were built under ground. The deepest tomb is 200 meters underground. That is over 600 feet!

This week Mitch and I took a train to Luxor to look at the tombs. We had a lot of fun. I didn't know what to expect. Would there be mummies in the tombs? Maybe we would find treasure. I thought it would be really cool to discover a new tomb.

"I don't think we will be here long enough to find any new tombs," Mitch told me. "I learned at the museum that it takes many years to find a new tomb."

"Party pooper," I replied. "I'm still going to look."
