This is what I love about Sri Lanka: a genuine curiosity about other people’s lives, a love of nature and the outdoors, and a lack of reliance on technology. The best thing as a tourist is that if you tell folks you are traveling, they will be quick to ask where to and likely also quick to offer advice, particularly if you seem unsure about something. All of these things not only makes Sri Lanka a very easy and enjoyable country to visit, but they remind me of the different perspectives travel can bring, making me appreciate my own culture afresh.
