Getting around Madrid

There are also seats reserved specifically for pregnant women, elderly passengers and people with disabilities.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

At first, it was really stressful using the metros on my own! I've taken the Boston T before (in Boston, the metro system is just called "the T"), but I was usually with a friend who knew the system better than I did. Without a friend to guide me in Madrid, I definitely got lost the first couple of times I tried getting anywhere around the city. However, I've gotten much better now! I've memorized the routes that I take most often, and I've gotten better at understanding the metro map, which can seem really confusing at first! In comparison to the Boston T, the Madrid metros are much cleaner, quieter, and more reliable.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

This year, the metro system is celebrating its 100th year in operation. Because Madrid is such a modern, busy city, it makes sense that public transportation is so accessible and commonly used. The metro has helped grow Madrid into the bustling city that it is today!
