What was the best meal this week?:

This week, I went to lunch with my coworkers Sarah and Evelyn. We wanted to try a restaurant called Selfie that's near IE University that's actually co-owned by two former IE students! We went to lunch at about 2:00 p.m. (the usual lunchtime for Spaniards) to try their menú del día (menu of the day). A menú del día usually consists of a bebida (drink), primer plato (first plate), segundo plato (second plate) and postre o café (dessert or coffee) for one set price. It's typical in Spain to eat a larger lunch, and a smaller dinner later that night.

I paid around 17 euro for a botella de agua (bottle of water), crema de calabaza (essentially squash soup), paella (a rice dish usually with seafood) and café con leche (coffee with milk). Selfie is a bit fancy, so 17 euro was on the more expensive side. I've paid around 12 euro for equally great meals.

What music did I listen to this week?:

To be honest, I've been listening to a lot of Ariana Grande lately! In terms of Spanish music, here are some more recommendations: "Corazón" by Maluma featuring Nego do Borel, and "El Perdón" by Nicky Jam featuring Enrique Iglesias.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

This week, I participated in a volunteer activity at a place called American Space Madrid. This is an organization that provides free activities for people of all ages in order to help them with their English language learning and understanding of American culture.
