While in Italy, I learned how to play an Italian card game called Scopa! In Italian, Scopa means 'broom'. This is because the goal of the game is to 'sweep' the board and collect all the cards from the table. The game is a bit complicated, but my favorite thing was learning to play it! Families typically gather to play Scopa, and compete with each other to win the game. It is kind of like the Italian version of the family game of Monopoly in the United States.
