The cocoa trees are planted in a forest and the large trees are left to provide some shade for the cocoa which thrives in a humid environment

I am setting up a trail camera in the forest with the aid of Bertrand Abodo who is a student from the Higher Institute of Environmental Sciences

We use a lock case on the camera so hunters cannot interfere with the research

This box contains a sound recorder - why do you think it would be helpful to record sounds in the forest?

Many primate species don't spend time on the ground but are vocal, so we can identify them with the acoustics
