What languages are spoken here? In Shyabru Besi people speak Nepali (NE-PA-LI), Tamang (TA-MA-NG) and Tibetan (T-BET-AN). People also speak English. When we went to a school, we got to visit the English classes.

What type of money is used here? The money here is called rupees. 63 rupees equals 1 US dollar.

How much does a bottle of water cost? We decided to change this question this week. Instead, we'll tell you the price of gas.

Last week, there was no gas available here. Trucks, buses and taxis could not go anywhere. This week, the gas price is 80 rupees a liter. That's about $1.30 per liter.

3.8 liters equals one gallon. Can you figure out how much one gallon of gas costs in Nepal? Is it more expensive or less expensive than gas in America?
