Traveler Bio

Néih hóu! (That means "hello!" in Cantonese!) My name is Hailey, and I am a 21-year-old from a city south of Boston called Brockton, Massachusetts. While I typically study psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, this spring I am an exchange student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Here in Hong Kong, I am taking classes in psychology, social work, Putonghua and biology, and volunteering at a primary school nearby. While I am learning Putonghua while I am here, Cantonese is much more popular, so I am also trying my hand at learning the local language. In my spare time, I love trying new foods, reading, listening to music and going on adventures, whether with friends or solo. Luckily, Hong Kong is full of neat places to explore, whether they be uninhabited islands, temples, beautiful mountainsides or towering shopping complexes. I am excited to go on this journey with you and show you all a little bit more about Hong Kong!
