What are the physical origins of this beautiful phenomenon we call life? How did nonliving molecules on Earth come together in a special arrangement to form the first living organism, and would it be possible for such an organism to live forever? What role do some of these original nonliving molecules play in the brain? These are questions that I hope to investigate while at UCSF as I embark on the next chapter of my adventure in exploring nature!
