Arianny's Autobiography

At Missouri State University I hold three jobs: tour guide, multicultural resource center worker, and front desk manager in my residence hall (dorm). All my jobs consist of helping others; it is important to give back to your community.  This is why I also do volunteer work every week back at home.

This past summer I visited Mexico for the first time where I did a non-paid internship. I helped develop small indigenous businesses in a very small pueblo. This means, specifically, that I used my knowledge to help very poor communities grow and develop. I also helped found an organization on my campus called P.I.N.K which stands for Pride, Inclusion, Nobility, and Knowledge, which is the second largest Latino organization on campus that empowers all women of distinction and women of difference. With this organization, I hope to encourage and empower more women like me to stay in school and push themselves to achieve a greater level of success in their lives. As I am studying abroad I also want to encourage more students to study abroad. I am currently studying abroad in Granada, Spain at the University of Granada. I never fell in love with a town until I came to Granada. I have never been so happy with life, and this is because of my accomplishments and of my goals. What goals do you have?
