Hi exchange partners! My name is Andrea Decker, and over the next several months I'll be corresponding wtih you about my life in Southern California!
I'm a 26-year-old graduate student, musician, and photographer. I studied singing during college, but after two trips to Indonesia I loved the music and culture there! I live in Riverside, California, with my husband and two cats. I sing in choir, play in the university gamelan, and play the North Indian tabla. When I'm not making music, I do wedding photography and portraits. I also love to exercise, read, and watch movies. Living in Southern California has inspired me to make lots of friends, explore new types of food, and get involved in art!
I hope to stay connected to Indonesian culture and practice my language skills by reading and writing articles with you. I can't wait to learn about your daily lives, especially the music you like to listen to!
