Traveler Bio

I'm Nihal Isam. I am 27 years old. I graduated from Khartoum University faculty of science. I used to work there as lab coordinator teacher, but now I'm a teacher at an international school. I love reading, writing, voluntary work, community development and startups. I love to meet new people, and experience new things. I have been part of the Green Space Coworking for one year.

In the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the goal on quality education, we decided to create a space to stimulate young people's minds and develop their appreciation of reading. I am very interested to spread the love for reading across our society to youth and to the new generation.

Amana Library is a startup business project for borrowing and renting books. It began 10 months ago, when we observed that many books were kept locked on shelves in our homes. For that reason, I decided to gather them in one place and then share the books among ourselves and with others. The library started with 25 of my own books. Currently, we have approximately 253 books in our club.

I believe that books can be our best friends, therefore at Amana Library, we are so enthusiastic to spread the love for reading among young people. Minds need some care--not to deteriorate!
