I also have a lot of family still living in Rehovot because it is where I grew up.  My two brothers and their children live here, as well as my parents. It’s really nice to have family so close.”

How do you get around?:

“We have a multiple cars, so I drive everywhere. I am lucky because I can park right outside of my apartment."

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

“I like to wear simple clothing, jeans and t-shirt when I am at home. However, for work I have to dress in business casual. The attire for work in Israel is a lot more casual for workers than in the United States. I do not have to wear a suit as many Americans have to do for work.”

(Note: I have also experienced this in the school where I work. I can wear jeans and t-shirt to work here everyday!)

 

What do you like to do in your free time?:

Her son answered "Sleeping" and she laughed. But then she went to say she likes to sleep, shop, travel, and relax. “You know, the normal things!”

 

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

 “I speak French, Hebrew, and English. My husband speaks Spanish. To say hello we say, Shalom.” (Her Husband is from Argentina and moved to Israel around age eight. He also speaks both English and Hebrew in addition to Spanish. They met when they were in middle school but did not start dating until they were out of college.)

 

Do you have pets?:

"Yes, three camels! I'm just kidding. I do not have any pets. But as Ali knows, I have a ceramic duck that I love. I keep her on the kitchen table.
