So, students, it's not a question of if but when you plan on traveling! The biggest advice I have for you is to let your curiosity open you up. Be sure to learn from others' experiences as much as you teach from your own life. My grandfather used to say that loneliest person in the world is he or she who thinks he/she knows everything. I've realized that there's much I have to learn, even about my own culture back home. My students here recently asked me, "Mr. Alex, why do Americans like wearing sports clothes (like sweatpants and joggers), when they don't actually mean to go to the gym?" I replied, "You know? I really don't know."
