How We Travel
The cockpit is where the crew of Aldebaran spends the most time. It has seating all the way around. In the cockpit you can find the steering wheel, which is also called the helm. The helm is much bigger than a car's steering wheel.
There are no road signs in the middle of the ocean, so the person who is steering uses a big compass to tell which direction to go.
In front of the cockpit is the companionway. The companionway is a hole in the deck (link to buzzword DECK) with a ladder going down into the cabin.
Toward the back of the cockpit, there is a bench seat that opens up to a big locker. We store our spare fuel and electric cables inside. It is so big that you can get inside!
