Hello, my name is Adrianna Montes! I was born and raised in New York City, and have lived here my entire life. Currently, I am a student at Barnard College in New York City. It is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and went to schools from kindergarten through 12th grade there.
At Barnard, I am studying urban studies, political science and education. Also, I am a junior, which means that this is my third year in college. As an urban studies major, I study cities all over the world and what makes each city unique. Also, I am very passionate about education and working with kids! Once I graduate, I hope to pursue a career that combines both of my passions: cities and education.
Instead of studying at Barnard this semester, I am studying abroad! Growing up I spent a lot of time traveling with my family to countries and cities in Europe, so I am very excited to live in three unique cities this semester that are located in different countries and continents. The specific cities in which I will be living are Ahmedabad, India; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Cape Town, South Africa. While spending a month in each city, I hope to learn about the history, life, culture, and what makes each city unique!
